Set renewal reminders

Goal: get an email before an insurance, registration, or inspection deadline.

1. Open the vehicle from the Vehicles page.
2. Go to the Reminders tab.
3. Click the add action to open the reminder form.
4. Enter a note describing the renewal (for example, "Annual registration").
5. Pick a trigger:
   • Date for a fixed deadline
   • Mileage for an odometer-based check
   • Date or mileage for whichever comes first
6. Enter the date or mileage threshold.
7. Save.

When each sends #

Spanner sends a heads-up two weeks before a date reminder and on the day of. Mileage reminders send when the vehicle's projected mileage reaches the threshold.

Sending requires the Send reminder emails preference to be on for that vehicle, and the account to be active and not unsubscribed.

Notes #

Reminders are tied to the vehicle, not the season. If you renew on a different vehicle, create a separate reminder there.

Reminders remain in the list until completed. To set one up for a future renewal, edit the reminder and update the date or mileage; or delete it and create a new one.
