Sharing

A vehicle can be shared by URL. The share page shows the vehicle's name, mileage stats, and service history to anyone with the link.

In the app #

Open a vehicle from the Vehicles page, then choose Share... from the vehicle's menu. The dialog has an Enable Sharing button. Once enabled, a shareable URL is displayed.

How it works #

Sharing toggles a per-vehicle setting. When enabled:

• A shareable URL is generated, pointing to the vehicle's public page
• Anyone with the URL can view the vehicle's name, mileage, and history
• The owner can disable sharing at any time to revoke access

The public share page shows the vehicle's name, mileage stats (estimated mileage, miles per year, since-date, VIN), and history table. Records appear without edit or delete controls. Notes are not exposed.

Notes #

Sharing does not require an account. Anyone with the link can view the data as long as sharing is enabled.

The URL contains the vehicle ID. Disabling sharing invalidates the URL immediately. Past visitors may have cached or saved copies.
