Notes

Each vehicle has a free-form notes field for things that don't fit records - tire pressures, oil capacity, quirks, or anything worth remembering. Notes support Markdown.

In the app #

Open a vehicle from the Vehicles page, then go to Notes. The notes editor opens with the vehicle's current notes.

How it works #

The editor has two modes:

• Write - plain text editor with Markdown
• Preview - rendered view of the current draft

Drafts are saved locally as you type. Switching vehicles or refreshing the page keeps the draft until you save or cancel.

Saving replaces the vehicle's notes entirely. To keep a record of past notes, copy them elsewhere before saving changes.

Notes #

Notes are private to the account. They are not shown on the public share URL for the vehicle.

For service history, use records instead. Notes are for reference information that doesn't correspond to a maintenance event.
